Planning Analyst - Systems, Reporting & BI

South East Melbourne | Full-time, Hybrid
12-18 month contract

We are seeking a hands-on Planning Analyst to join a global manufacturing business and play a key role in a major finance transformation and D365 implementation.

This is not a traditional reporting role. You'll sit across FP&A;, planning, finance systems, Power BI and business partnering, helping the business move away from legacy processes and build a more modern, data-driven approach.

About the Role
You'll work closely with Finance, IT and Operations to improve planning, forecasting and reporting across the Group.

Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting the D365 Planning implementation across budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
- Working with IT and the business to define requirements and build processes.
- Developing and improving Power BI dashboards and management reporting.
- Supporting month-end and group reporting.
- Managing rolling forecasts, planning models and scenario analysis.
- Improving visibility across revenue, margin, costs and operational performance.
- Identifying opportunities for automation, AI and process improvement.
- Supporting reporting across a complex,



multi-region manufacturing environment, including Australia, America and China.
- Ensuring data integrity and consistency across planning and reporting systems.
- Providing hands-on support to stakeholders and helping drive adoption of new processes.

About You

- 5+ years' experience across FP&A;, planning, reporting or finance systems.
- Strong Excel, Power BI and financial modelling skills.
- Experience with D365 Planning is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
- Experience working across Finance and IT on systems, reporting or transformation projects.
- Strong stakeholder and business partnering skills.
- A structured, analytical and commercially minded approach.
- Experience in manufacturing, distribution or a multi-region setting would be advantageous.

You don't necessarily need to come from a D365 environment — strong systems experience and the ability to learn quickly will be considered.
