Primary objective

Reporting to the Manager Partnerships, provide sound partnership, grant and project management support including data

collation, analysis and reporting, and advice to key stakeholders, grant recipients and the broader community, in order to

drive improvements, enhance evidence informed decision making, build organisational capacity and increase participation in

sport and active recreation.

Context statement

The partnerships team plays a pivotal role in the SRSI Industry Development Unit’s ability to support sport and active

recreation participation across the NT, so that communities are engaged, diverse and vibrant places where everyone belongs.

Using a community development framework,



the unit provides advice and assistance to urban, regional and remote sport

and active recreation organisations, regional councils and other stakeholders Territory-wide.

Key duties and responsibilities

Coordinate and manage administration of partnerships projects, grants and voucher-based programs, while actively

supporting organisations and individuals with the management and monitoring of grant-related activities and associated

funding agreements.

Selection criteria
Essential

1. Proven high level working knowledge and application of contemporary customer service quality standards and

continuous improvement principles.

1. Proven high level working knowledge and understanding of the operational processes, particularly contractual,

governance and reporting requirements, necessary to support the delivery of government grant and voucher-based

programs.

1. Working knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Financial Management Act, Treasurer’s Directions) and policy (e.g. grant

management and procurement) or the ability to quickly acquire and apply such knowledge.

1. Proven experience managing projects requiring analysis of quantitative/qualitative data to meet reporting requirements.
2. Proven ability to manage up and be highly functional in a professionally demanding team setting, providing high

quality, accurate information to management and colleagues to meet established timeframes and standards.

1. Sound knowledge of and established proficiency in problem solving and alternative dispute resolution techniques.

Desirable

1. A relevant tertiary qualification, in fields such as governance, policy, business administration, sport management and/or

recreation studies.
