2 days WFH across the business (every Monday and Friday)

My client is a well-established, full-service professional services firm celebrating its 50th anniversary this month. The business provides a broad range of services including accounting, business advisory, wealth management, mortgage broking, and bookkeeping, allowing clients to access integrated financial solutions under one roof.

The firm has a team of approximately 60 professionals, comprising of 40 Australian-based employees and 20 offshore team members through its wholly owned Philippines entity. The leadership team consists of 4 Partners, plus CEO. The business has a collaborative, forward-thinking culture with a relatively young leadership group, including partners in their early 30s.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to manage a portfolio of clients in the provision of VCFO, tax consulting, corporate advisory / M&A;, financial reporting and modelling, and other value adding services.

Key responsibilities will include:

Manage a portfolio of business clients and develop strong, long-term client relationships

Prepare and present management reports and financial insights for clients, acting as a trusted advisor and virtual CFO





Prepare tax advisory letters and deliver advisory projects to address client challenges and identify business improvement opportunities

Develop budgets, cash flow forecasts, and management accounting reports

Contribute to financial modelling and scenario analysis

Collaborate with the Head of Advisory, Corporate Compliance team, and other internal stakeholders to deliver integrated client solutions

The ideal candidate will possess:

CA or CPA qualification

5+ years' experience in public practice accounting

A solid foundation in financial accounting and taxation, with a genuine interest in applying technical expertise to business advisory services beyond compliance

Strong written and verbal communication skills, a proactive work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong, skilled relationships with clients

Experience in budgeting, cash flow management, and the preparation of management accounting reports

The confidence and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with business owners and senior leaders, presenting financial information in a clear and practical manner

Hybrid working model with the head office based in South Melbourne

In-office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, with work-from-home flexibility on Monday and Friday
