What you'll be doing
Contribute to a high-quality pathology service. Perform a range of laboratory duties supporting key laboratory examination processes including but not limited to equipment maintenance and decontamination, handling of diagnostic specimens and archive material, preparation of reagents, disposal of hazardous chemicals and providing support to technical and scientific staff within an Anatomical Pathology environment.

Interested in joining Australia's largest public pathology service? Apply now by addressing the following questions: * Demonstrated knowledge of or ability to learn all relevant aspects of Immunohistochemistry.

- Demonstrated understanding of safe specimen handling, tracking and retention requirements to support accurate and efficient laboratory operations.
- Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment while adhering to safe work practices, including manual handling and management of chemical and biological hazards.
- Ability to unpack, manage and organise refrigerated and unrefrigerated stock, perform stocktake accurately and notify stock issues to IHC Scientists and Senior Scientist.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills with an ability to manage competing priorities and time constraints in a demanding environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers, internal and external, with the ability to work collaboratively in a busy team-based laboratory environment.
- Proficient computer skills including keyboard and data entry, with high attention to detail and data accuracy.




- Demonstrated understanding of accreditation and confidentiality requirements and proper handling of sensitive information in a laboratory setting, following relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
