Role title: Administration Officer
Role type: Maximum term, full-time (maternity leave cover until April)
Role grade: Administration Officer Level 2, (Year 1-2)
Department and location: Health Information Services, St Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst
Salary: $69,272.27- $71,570.21 + super +salary packaging

About the role
Keep medical records accurate and up to date – prepare, scan, file and quality-check patient records within the Scanned Medical Record (SMR) system.
Support medical transcription – assist clinicians and external stakeholders with the iMedX Transcription system and related applications.
Manage patient correspondence – ensure letters and medical information are processed accurately and sent promptly to the correct GP,
clinic or healthcare provider.
Handle sensitive information with care – maintain confidentiality and accuracy when working with patient and medical records.
Work as part of a collaborative team – liaise with clinicians, Social Work and multidisciplinary teams to locate, track and retrieve medical records while providing flexible administrative support.
About you
Previous clerical or administrative experience, ideally within a healthcare setting
Strong attention to detail with the ability to work flexibly and accurately
Excellent communication skills, including professional phone manners and customer service focus
Proven ability to manage competing priorities and work efficiently in a quick-paced environment
Experience scanning medical records, with data entry or record processing skills highly regarded
