Practice Information
This multidisciplinary mental health and social and emotional wellbeing service provides culturally safe, trauma-informed and recovery-oriented care with a solid focus on supporting First Nations peoples and communities. The service operates across regional, remote and very remote Queensland locations and is committed to delivering high-quality therapeutic services while supporting clinician wellbeing and professional growth.

Position Description
This role involves providing therapy services across a variety of referral types and programs for children, adolescents and adults.
Responsibilities include:

Delivering individual and group-based therapeutic counselling and healing services.

Providing therapeutic services through face-to-face, outreach and telehealth delivery models.

Undertaking assessments, care planning, care reviews, report writing and therapeutic interventions.

Working collaboratively with consumers, carers, communities and service providers to deliver culturally appropriate and responsive services.

Managing a caseload within a supported multidisciplinary team environment.

Participating in quality improvement activities and maintaining high professional standards.

Building effective partnerships with stakeholders to support positive client outcomes.





Position Requirements

Current registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist, Provisional Psychologist or Occupational Therapist (Mental Health/Better Access endorsed), or accreditation as an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW).

Current AHPRA or AASW registration.

Current driver's licence.

Willingness to complete pre-employment screening, including Criminal History, Blue Card and Queensland Disability Worker Screening/NDIS Worker Screening requirements.

Experience working with, or willingness to engage and work with, First Nations families and communities.
