Our client is a well-established and emerging Australian ASX-listed Oil & Gas producer. They have a diverse and stable portfolio of producing and prospective gas tenements across the Northern Territory (NT) and Queensland.
With a growing asset portfolio and focus on safe, reliable operations, the organisation is seeking an experienced Operations Engineer to join their engineering team and provide practical process engineering support across field operations and capital projects.
The Opportunity
The Operations Engineer will provide hands-on engineering support to field operations while contributing to brownfield projects, process safety initiatives and plant optimisation. You will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Projects and Engineering teams to identify issues, improve asset performance and deliver practical, fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide process engineering and technical support to field operations
- Monitor plant performance and identify optimisation opportunities
- Support brownfield modifications and Management of Change activities
- Investigate process issues and support operational improvements
- Contribute to process safety initiatives and engineering reviews
- Work closely with Operations, Projects, Engineering and external contractors.
About You
- Degree-qualified in Chemical or Process Engineering
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar operations/process engineering role
- Comfortable with regular travel to operational sites
- Experience within the oil & gas, energy or process industries
- Strong process engineering and operational support experience
- Experience with brownfield modifications and management of change
- Robust analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skill
