Approx. $800k Accounting Fee Base | Full Ownership Within Three Years

Are you an experienced Business Services Manager, Senior Manager or Director who wants to own and lead an established accounting practice?

Beckway Professionals is working exclusively with an independent public practice in Perth's north-eastern suburbs on a planned succession strategy. The successful person will join the firm, work alongside the current Partners and progressively acquire the practice over a three-year transition period.

With approximately $800,000 in recurring accounting fees, an existing team, established systems and office infrastructure already in place, this is an opportunity to step into practice ownership without building a business from scratch.

The Opportunity
You will initially work closely with the current Partners, developing relationships with the client base and becoming familiar with the operation of the practice before progressively taking greater responsibility for clients, workflow and team leadership.

The proposed acquisition will occur in three stages:

- Initial equity from 1 July 2027
- A further portion from 1 July 2028
- The remaining fee base from 1 July 2029

At the end of the transition, the current Partners will exit and the successful person will become the sole owner of the practice.

The Client Portfolio
The practice specialises predominantly in business services and taxation, servicing privately owned businesses and family groups across industries including:

- Earthworks and civil-related businesses
- Building and construction
- Engineering
- Retail
- Agriculture




- Allied health and professional services
- Cafes and hospitality

There is also an SMSF portfolio of approximately 50 funds, along with a separate financial planning offering for clients requiring broader financial services.

Your Role
Depending on your experience, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns
- Business services and taxation compliance
- Managing companies, trusts, partnerships and individual clients
- Tax planning and structuring
- Working directly with business owners
- Managing long-standing client relationships
- Overseeing workflow and client deadlines
- Progressively taking responsibility for the team and practice operations

This is primarily a business services and tax practice, so it will suit someone with strong technical tax and compliance capability who also enjoys building trusted relationships with business owners.

About You
This opportunity will suit an experienced public practice professional who is ready to move beyond employment and into ownership.

You will ideally have:

- Robust Australian public practice accounting experience
- Solid business services and taxation knowledge
- CA or CPA qualification
- Experience managing SME and privately owned business clients
- Strong technical accounting and tax capability
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills




- The confidence to lead a practice and manage a team
- A commercial mindset and genuine commitment to practice ownership

Exposure to agriculture, construction, earthworks, trades or other owner-operated industries would be advantageous.

Candidates will also need to have either sufficient funds available or the capacity to obtain pre-approved finance to complete the staged acquisition of the practice.

The Practice
Established nearly 10 years ago, the practice has a strong recurring client base and operates from professional offices in Perth's north-eastern suburbs.

The business is predominantly digital and uses Xero, MYOB, BGL and SuiteFiles, with Xero as the primary accounting platform.

Standard office hours are 8:45am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday.

The location may particularly appeal to accountants living in Perth's eastern or north-eastern suburbs who would prefer to avoid a daily CBD commute.
