Role Description

We are seeking a full-time, on-site General Practitioner with a strong focus or special interest in orthopaedics and musculoskeletal care to join our team in the Greater Sydney Area.

In this role, you will provide advanced clinical care to a dedicated stream of orthopaedic and musculoskeletal patients. You will work in close, integrated collaboration with orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, nurses, and allied health professionals. Your daily responsibilities will span comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care.

Key Responsibilities

- Clinical Excellence: Conduct detailed musculoskeletal examinations, formulate clear diagnoses, and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
- Diagnostics & Prescribing: Order and interpret diagnostic imaging (X-rays, MRIs, CTs) and pathology, and manage complex medication regimens within general practice scope.
- Surgical Coordination: Coordinate comprehensive pre-operative workups and structured post-operative care, tracking patient recovery milestones.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Act as a core link between orthopaedic surgeons, physiotherapists, and acute care teams to ensure seamless patient transitions.
- Patient Education:



Educate patients and their families on long-term treatment plans, post-surgical rehabilitation pathways, and proactive self-management.
- Quality & Compliance: Maintain immaculate electronic medical records and actively participate in clinical audits and service quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Licensure: Current, unrestricted Specialist Registration as a General Practitioner with AHPRA.
- Fellowship: FRACGP, FACRRM, or equivalent international qualification recognized in Australia.
- Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated experience or advanced postgraduate training in orthopaedics, sports medicine, or acute musculoskeletal settings.
- Autonomy: Proven ability to manage a high-volume, rapid-paced caseload independently while adhering to rigorous safety standards.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and communicate effectively across a diverse multidisciplinary network.
- Tech-Savvy: High proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) and standard clinical software (e.g., Best Practice, MedicalDirector)
