About Us

YOKU Sushi is a contemporary Japanese restaurant located in Randwick, offering a range of Japanese cuisine including sushi, sashimi and contemporary Japanese dishes. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes, including sushi and other menu items.

Prepare ingredients including seafood, meat, vegetables, rice and sauces.

Ensure consistent food quality, presentation and portion control.

Maintain a clean,



organised and hygienic kitchen environment.

Monitor stock levels and assist with food storage and rotation.

Follow food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.

Work effectively with chefs and other kitchen staff during service.

Requirements

Relevant cookery qualification.

At least 1 year of relevant work experience in Japanese cuisine or sushi preparation.

Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Good teamwork and communication skills.
