We're looking for a reliable and motivated Plumber's Assistant to join our Tennant Creek team. If you enjoy practical, hands-on work, take pride in doing things properly and want the opportunity to learn from experienced tradespeople, this could be the role for you.

About the Role

You'll work alongside qualified plumbers across residential, commercial, civil and industrial sites, assisting with plumbing maintenance, repairs, installations and project work.

No two days are the same. You might be helping prepare materials for an installation one day, assisting with maintenance work the next, or supporting the team on a larger civil or infrastructure project.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who is reliable, safety-conscious, willing to learn and happy to get stuck in.

What You'll Do

- Assist qualified plumbers with maintenance, repairs and installations

- Prepare tools, equipment and materials for jobs

- Assist with general plumbing and site activities

- Load,



unload and move materials and equipment

- Help maintain clean and organised work areas

- Keep vehicles, tools and equipment tidy and ready for use

- Follow safe work procedures and instructions from qualified tradespeople

- Assist the team to complete jobs efficiently and to a high standard

- Work across a variety of residential, commercial, civil and industrial sites

- Maintain a professional attitude when working at customer and project sites

What You Need

- Current Australian driver's licence

- Construction White Card

- Reliable and punctual approach to work

- Good communication skills

- Ability to follow instructions and work safely

- Comfortable undertaking practical and physical work

- Willingness to work outdoors and across different job sites

- Positive attitude and willingness to learn

- Ability to work well as part of a team

Great to Have

- Previous experience as a trade assistant, labourer or plumbing assistant

- Experience in plumbing, construction, civil works or maintenance

- Ochre Card

- Police Check

- First Aid or other safety training

- Experience working in regional or remote areas

- An interest in developing a long-term career in the plumbing industry
