Front of House Supervisor – Winery Restaurant

Full-time | Rutherglen Wine Region | Predominantly daytime hours

We’re looking for an experienced hospitality person to join our team at Quartz Cuisine, located at family-owned Cofield Wines in Wahgunyah, in the Rutherglen wine region.

This is a full-time Front of House position suited to someone who loves hospitality, enjoys working with people and is ready to take some ownership of the day-to-day running of a busy winery restaurant.

One of the big advantages? Predominantly daytime hours. Weekend availability is required, with only occasional evening work for functions and special events.

About the role

Working closely with our kitchen team and the Cofield Wines Cellar Door team, you’ll help make sure Quartz runs smoothly and every guest receives the warm, genuine hospitality we’re known for.

Your role will include:

- Leading and supporting day-to-day Front of House operations

- Providing friendly, professional service and creating a outstanding experience for our guests

- Supervising and supporting Front of House team members

- Working closely with the kitchen and Cellar Door teams

- Assisting with rostering and daily workflow

- Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and organisation

- Assisting with stock control and ordering

- Supporting functions, events and busy weekend trade

- Opening and closing procedures





- Contributing ideas to continually improve the guest experience and the way we operate

About you

We’re looking for someone who is warm, friendly and approachable, with a genuine love of hospitality.

You’ll ideally have:

- Hospitality or customer service experience

- Previous supervisory or management experience

- Great communication and people skills

- Strong organisation and time management skills

- A positive attitude and willingness to lead by example

- The ability to work well within a close-knit team

- Availability to work weekends

- A Victorian RSA, or willingness to obtain one

- A current driver’s licence and reliable transport

Experience in a café or restaurant environment is highly regarded, as is an interest in food, wine and regional tourism.
