The Company

Our client is a nationally recognised engineering contractor specialising in ground anchoring, slope stabilisation, shotcrete, foundation piling, specialist civil construction and ground improvement projects.

Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, an opportunity has become available for an experienced Project Finance & Contract Administrator with Ground Engineering or Civil Construction project experience to join their team.

This is a semi-roster position, requiring a minimum of 1 full week per month away from home on a regional major project, with the option to work 2 weeks per month if preferred. The remaining weeks each month can be worked from either the Sutherland Shire or Balmain office locations.

A Fuel Card will be provided for this role, and depending on how often the successful person wants to go to site a work ute may also be provided.

The Role & Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role as intermediary client commercial liaison with key responsibilities:

- Monitor and prepare daily, weekly and monthly budget, cost, and revenue reports including basic financial statements and month-end close documents
- Monitor and prepare all contract notices, including delay/EOT and variations.
- Maintain project registers, contract documentation and filing systems.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and clients as required.
- Prepare and submit progress claims.
- Monitor and assess all project-specific expenses, materials, labor costs, subcontractors and suppliers, and revenue against set budgets, quotes and claims.
- Maintain and monitor construction programs.
- Monitor and assessment of contractual obligations and change in conditions.
- Preparation of correspondence, documents, reports and meeting notes.
- Supporting project managers and site teams with day-to-day administrative requirements.

- Salary package of $100,000 - $110,000 + Superannuation (dependent on Australian experience)

About You

To be considered for this position, you will have:

- Degree in accounting, finance, or commerce.
- Previous experience in office administration, customer service, construction administration or a similar role.
- Role includes oversight of regional NSW projects, and requires flexibility for regular rostered travel (DIDO - Drive In, Drive Out) for a at least 1 full week per month.
- Construction industry experience is highly regarded but not essential.
- Basic understanding of construction workflows, job costing, or contract variations is a robust plus.
- Ability to coordinate with project managers and external vendors
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Friendly, professional and confident dealing with clients.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
- Proactive, reliable and able to work independently.
- Professional presentation and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Intermediate experience / familiarity with MS Project, MS Excel a must
- Experience with accounting or construction management software is an advantage.
