Thursday Island Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join its Renal and Haemodialysis unit on a four-week contract from 20 September to 17 October 2026. Based on Thursday Island, QLD, this role offers a competitive remuneration package of AUD72.50 to AUD81.50 per hour. You'll work with a specialist renal team, bringing your clinical expertise to support patients undergoing haemodialysis treatment in a regional healthcare setting.

Preferred Requirements

- Minimum three years' experience in renal nursing or haemodialysis care




- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification
- Hands-on experience operating Fresenius 4008S or 5008S haemodialysis machines
- Solid clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills in a renal setting
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary renal team

Preferred Qualifications

- Registered Nurse qualification with current AHPRA registration
- Post-graduate qualification or demonstrated specialisation in renal nursing
- Knowledge of haemodialysis protocols, vascular access management, and renal patient care standards
