As Senior Engineer - Data and Business Intelligence of our Data Analytics Services team at eHealth NSW, you will be part of a cross functional team of digital healthcare specialists, corporate product, data & intelligence analytics and technology professionals; creating and continuously improving an analytics product suite aimed at improving value-based care delivery within a psychologically safe, inclusive, accountable and high-performance culture.
This role offers the opportunity to work with the Data Analytics Services - Workforce Analytics squad on various NSW Health workforce analytics solutions on Oracle and Snowflake platforms using various integration and visualisation tools such as Oracle Data Integrator, Data Built Tool and PowerBI.
In this role, you will:
- Use your high degree of expertise with Oracle including on premise and cloud stacks to drive best practise technology solutions.
- Design and develop large or complex analytics designs and products that enable value-based healthcare delivery and deliver desired outcomes while identifying and developing recommendations that mitigate risks and dependencies.
- Develop,
maintain and enhance sophisticated data models that support business-critical clinical analytics and reporting needs, ensuring data quality, consistency, and accuracy to guarantee meaningful insights.
- Design and implement robust, scalable data pipelines that effectively extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources, utilising your knowledge of cloud technologies to optimise data ingestion and processing.
- Use your analytics expertise to provide subject matter expertise and partner with product owners and customers to translate business needs into technical requirements to achieve healthcare and business outcomes.
- Develop data visualisations and reports that effectively clearly communicate complex data insights to technical and non-technical audiences, enabling customers to make informed decisions.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of coding and testing standards and practices, to enhance security, functionality, supportability and efficiency.

About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Worked with large, complex workforce or financial data to generate actionable insights - preferably with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and Fusion Applications data structures.
- Advanced SQL knowledge and experience, working with oracle databases and performance tuning, database partitioning and strong code development.
- Advanced knowledge in building data integration pipelines using different ETL tools such as Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
- Demonstrated experience and advanced knowledge in building data visualisation using different dashboard and report development tools such as Power BI and Oracle Analytics Cloud.
- Demonstrated experience using version management products such as GIT.
- Demonstrated experience delivering in a high-volume environment, using an Agile and/or Scrum approach.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively addressing customer data and product related queries in a timely manner.
- A customer-centric, growth mindset in continuously improving your knowledge, business products and business processes to exceed customer expectations and achieve desired outcomes.
