About the role

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Café Manager to lead our operations at our Balcatta location in Perth, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth running of our café and delivering an exceptional customer experience. As Café Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and driving business success. You will work on-site at our Balcatta WA 6021 location, where your leadership and management expertise will be instrumental in creating a positive environment for both customers and team members.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee all daily café operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and cash handling

- Recruit, train, supervise and motivate café staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment

- Manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and work towards achieving sales targets and profitability goals

- Ensure consistent quality of food and beverages, maintaining high standards in food preparation and presentation

- Maintain health, safety and hygiene standards in accordance with relevant legislation and company policies

- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally

- Manage inventory, ordering and supplier relationships to optimise stock levels and reduce waste





•Implement and monitor company policies and procedures across the café

- Maintain a clean, welcoming and well-organised café environment

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Café Manager or similar hospitality management role in a fast-paced environment

- Solid leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff

- Excellent customer service skills and a genuine passion for hospitality

•Sound knowledge of food safety, health and hygiene regulations and best practices

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work flexibly, including early mornings, weekends and public holidays as required

- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

- Knowledge of cafe operations

- A professional and reliable approach to work with attention to detail

- Current Food Handler Certificate or willingness to obtain one

- Preferred: Experience in a deli or café environment and knowledge of point-of-sale systems
