Full time role - Temporary (Opportunity to upscale as Trades Technician in Data Center)
n
Static Role Support - 1 Client and 1 location at Derrimut Victoria, Melbourne
n
Work on shift - 12 hours roaster - 4 on- 2 days/2 nights, 4 days off (6 am -18:00)

About the Role:
n
As a CBRE Data Center Apprentice, you will assist the team in performing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. This role is designed to provide you with hands‐on experience and foundational knowledge in data center operations.
n
What You'll Do:
n
n
- Assist in daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Electrical Engineering systems and technical equipment
n
- Support the team in ensuring the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment
n
- Observe and assist with emergency repairs in response to Building Management System alarms
n
- Help with taking meter readings from UPS, PDU's, and u li es during building walkthroughs
n
- Participate in the complete on of all required training to ensure successful completion of job-related responsibilities
n
- Follow established procedures in the performance of repetitive tasks or job activities
n
- Assist in maintaining comprehensive maintenance records and documentation
n
- Support the team in ensuring subcontractor performance meets all requirements per the Master Service Agreement
n
- Develop a basic understanding of Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting
n
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized work environment
n
n
What You'll Need:
n
n
- Completed Year 10/Year 12 & currently enrolled in a 3rd or 4th year college program or technical school TAFE/RMIT/Polytechnique or relevant
n
- Australian Citizen - comfortable with NV1 vetting or detailed Background Check process
n
- Currently completing Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrical /Air conditioning & Refrigeration or Electrical
n
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more
n
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and work well within a team
n
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
n
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset and a willingness to learn
n
- Basic math skills, including the ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups
n
- Ability to follow safety processes and requirements to ensure a protected work environment
n
- Willingness to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays
n
- Ability to develop skills to perform basic activities in the role and grow within the organization
