Construction Maintenance Shift Supervisor

We are a small family operated business that is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead and work within one of our Construction Maintenance crews which operates on a mine site in Moranbah.

Previous experience in a supervisory role

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Previous experience in a supervisory role
n
- Minimum 2 years' experience supervising construction or maintenance teams (preferably 3-8 people)
n
- Minimum of 2 years experience on a mine site
n
- Carpentry or Plumbing Cert III Trade certificate and civil construction experience
n
- A current unrestricted driver's licence.
n
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency with unrestricted work rights
n
- Meet Inherent Safety Requirements of the site which mandatorily include (but are not limited to) Clean Shaven, Hard Hats, Safety Boots, safety glasses etc
n

Your current role duties

n

n




- Supervise and work with a small civil construction/maintenance crew on the surface of an Underground Coal Mine, ensuring they meet project requirements and any changing site needs.
n
- Work in line with SHMS and site requirements
n
- Collaborate with the Construction Manager and client to guarantee that the planned or required work is executed to the highest standards of quality, environmental compliance, and health and safety.
n
- Engage in daily pre-start and toolbox meetings to foster a productive team environment.
n
- Manage direct resourcing allocations in line with project schedule, monitor all ongoing works to identify potential challenges or issues, and provide leadership and assist toward resolution.
n
- Manage client and stakeholder interactions during construction and maintenance activities.
n
- Use electronic systems to allocate resources, record task information and order materials.
n

To succeed in this role it is essential to have

n

n
- Previous 2+ years of experience in a mining supervisory role
n
- Construction Trade certificate and experience (eg. Carpentry Cert III, understanding plumbing, electrical etc)
n
- A current unrestricted driver's licence
n

- S123 & G2 qualifications
n
- Carpentry Cert III or equivalent
n
- CBM/CMWHA and fit for work medicals
n
- Competency with electronic devices.
n

Favourable to have also:

n

n
- Civil Machinery tickets (eg. skid steer, backhoe, 8t excavator)
n

nn
- High Risk Work licence
n
- Poly welding experience
n

n
