We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Engineering Technician to join our team.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Assist with planning, coordinating and delivering solutions for customers.
n
- Conduct site inspections and monitor activities to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications and Australian Standards.
n
- Prepare, interpret and review engineering drawings, technical documentation and construction plans.
n
- Perform site measurements, surveys and quantity calculations.
n
- Inspect materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications and quality requirements.
n
- Monitor progress and prepare technical reports, site records and progress documentation.
n
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers regarding project activities.
n
- Assist with contract administration, scheduling and project coordination.
n
- Ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and environmental regulations.
n
- Assist in identifying engineering issues and recommending practical solutions during project delivery.
n
- Support quality assurance processes and maintain accurate engineering documentation.
n
n
Essential Requirements
n
n
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline.
n
- At least two years of relevant full-time post-qualification experience as a Civil Engineering Technician or in a closely related role.
n
- Demonstrated experience in civil infrastructure or construction projects.
n
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
n
- Knowledge of Australian Standards and civil construction practices (or the ability to quickly adapt).
n
- Robust written and verbal communication skills.
n
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
n
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering software such as AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D is desirable.
n
- Current driver's licence essential.
n
