Rapidtune Hallam is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Apprentice Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in the automotive trades industry, working alongside experienced technicians in our Hallam, VIC workshop. As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will gain hands‐on experience in vehicle maintenance, repair, and diagnostics whilst completing your formal qualification. This role is fundamental to developing the next generation of skilled automotive professionals and will provide you with a solid foundation in all aspects of mechanical work.

What you'll be doing

n

Assisting experienced mechanics with vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs under supervision

n

Learning to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment

n

Performing routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections and fluid top‐ups

n

Cleaning and organizing workshop tools and equipment, maintaining a safe and tidy work setting

n

Keeping accurate records of work completed and parts used

n

Supporting the team with vehicle inspections and pre‐delivery checks

n

Developing technical knowledge through on‐the‐job training

n

Following all health and safety procedures and workplace protocol

n

What we're looking for

n

A passion for automobiles and a genuine interest in pursuing a career in automotive mechanics

n

Currently enrolled in or willing to commence an apprenticeship in automotive mechanical technology (or equivalent qualification)

n





Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work

n

Excellent problem‐solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a hands‐on environment

n

Reliable, punctual and professional attitude with a willingness to take direction

n

Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team

n

Basic literacy and numeracy skills

n

A current valid driver's license is desirable

n

Physical fitness and the ability to work in various positions for extended periods

n
