The Role
n The role of the Boat Mechanic is to inspect, repair and monitor marine engines, electronics and internal boat systems. You will have a strong understanding of servicing outboard and sterndrive engines, boat accessory fitting, marine electronics, as well as problem diagnostics and offering solutions.

n

Requirements and Skills

n

Knowledge and experience in the Marine Industry as a Mechanic or Boat Fitter

n

Experience in servicing and/or fitting engines

n

Understanding of vessel accessory fitting and auto / marine -electrical

n

Excellent time management skills and punctual

n

Solid attention to detail and pride in workmanship

n

Strong ability to diagnose problems and offer solutions

n





Well organised and able to handle multiple tasks

n

Ability to work unsupervised while also being able to effectively take direction

n

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

n

Up to date knowledge with Mercury and Kawasaki Master Tech Training (Training Supplied)

n

Key Responsibilities and Duties

n

Service marine engines and boat systems

n

Fit-out outboard engines, marine electronics, and boat accessories

n

Problem solving and water testing vessels

n

Work alongside other team members and other departments

n
