Job Description
At Sapphire Support, we provide high-quality disability and mental health services throughout South East Queensland. As our organisation continues to grow, we're looking for an experienced and motivated NDIS Compliance & Funding Officer to become an important member of our Head Office team.
n
This is not a traditional compliance role.
n
Approximately 40% of your role will focus on participant funding, compliance and maintaining accurate participant records and invoicing processes in shift care . The remaining 60% will see you supporting the CEO and Operations Manager with business improvement initiatives, systems, projects, overseeing our offshore administration/ Rostering team (2 at this point) and assisting across a variety of Head Office functions.

About the Role
n
Reporting directly to the CEO and Operations Manager, you'll become a trusted member of our Head Office team.
n
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.
n
You'll work across participant funding, compliance, systems, projects and team coordination while also assisting with a range of business support activities.
n
We're looking for someone who enjoys learning, solving problems and continually improving the way things are done.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
NDIS Compliance & Funding (Approx. 40%)
n
Review participant funding documentation.
n
Review Service Agreements, Schedules of Support and Rosters of Care.
n
Maintain accurate participant funding and compliance records.
n
Implement approved weekly participant funding and invoicing amendments by updating billing templates to reflect authorised changes.
n
Ensure all participant invoicing amendments are completed accurately and only following approval from the CEO and/or Operations Manager.
n
Work closely with the CEO,
Operations Manager and Finance Officer to ensure participant funding records and invoicing remain accurate and up to date. Again, via our shift care software system
n
Please Note: This role implements approved participant funding and invoicing changes. Approval of participant funding, budgets and invoicing decisions remains the responsibility of the CEO and Operations Manager.
n
Business Support & Continuous Improvement
n
Assist with business improvement initiatives.
n
Coordinate and support special projects.
n
Assist with implementing new software and business systems. (If ever required)
n
Review processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
n
Prepare reports and assist with organisational projects. (As required)
n
Offshore Team Coordination
n
Provide day-to-day support to Sapphire Support's offshore administration team.
n
Allocate work and monitor workflow.
n
Provide guidance and mentoring where required.
n
Ensure work is completed accurately and on time.
n
Head Office Support
n
Assist with recruitment and onboarding administration. (When Directed by CEO)
n
Prepare reports and correspondence. (If Required)
n
Assist with compliance administration.
n
Support the Head Office team wherever required.
n
About You
n
You're organised, adaptable and enjoy working across a variety of tasks.
n
You understand the importance of participant funding and compliance, but you're equally comfortable assisting with projects, systems, administration and supporting your colleagues.
n
You're confident using technology and enjoy learning new software.
You can comfortably work across Microsoft Office and multiple business systems, including NDIS software such as Shift Care. ( Learning this software is straight forward as user friendly)
n
Most importantly, you take ownership of your work, communicate well and enjoy being part of a collaborative team.
n
Previous experience working within an Australian NDIS provider.
n
Sound understanding of participant funding, Service Agreements, Schedules of Support and Rosters of Care.
n
Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams.
n
Confidence working across multiple software systems while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
n
Experience using NDIS software, with Shift Care experience highly regarded. (however, software is user friendly)
n
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.Strong written and verbal communication skills.
n
Ability to manage competing priorities.
n
Professional, positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
