An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Area Manager to oversee a portfolio of early learning services across the Newcastle and Hunter region.

This is a senior leadership prospect for someone who is passionate about developing leaders, improving operational performance and supporting high-quality outcomes across multiple services. Working alongside a collaborative executive team, you will have the autonomy to lead your portfolio and influence meaningful outcomes.

Opportunity

n

As Area Manager, you will provide operational leadership and strategic support across multiple early learning services, ensuring quality outcomes for children, families and educators.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Lead, coach and mentor Centre Managers and leadership teams
n
- Drive continuous improvement across quality, compliance and operations
n
- Support services through Assessment and Rating and Quality Improvement Plans
n
- Monitor occupancy, financial performance and operational KPIs
n
- Build strong relationships with families, centre teams and local communities
n
- Support recruitment, workforce planning and succession planning
n
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework and National Regulations
n
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and child safety
n
- Partner with senior leaders to deliver strategic and operational objectives
n

- Market-competitive salary package of $120,000 to $150,000 plus super, depending on experience, plus petrol and tolls covered for work-related travel

About You

n

You will have:

n

n
- Previous Area Manager or multi-site leadership experience within Early Childhood Education and Care
n
- ACECQA approved Diploma or Early Childhood Teaching qualification
n
- Demonstrated experience coaching and developing Centre Managers and leadership teams
n
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, EYLF and National Regulations
n
- Experience supporting Assessment and Rating processes
n
- Financial and operational management experience
n
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- Current Working with Children Check
n
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
n
