The Role

n

We're looking for an Accounting Coach who combines strong financial expertise with the ability to guide and influence business owners.

n

This is a client-facing advisory role, not a traditional compliance accounting position. You'll work directly with trade business owners, helping them understand their numbers, improve performance, and make better decisions.

n

You'll manage your own portfolio of clients, delivering 1:1 financial coaching, group sessions, and strategic guidance across profitability, cash flow, and business performance.

n

This role is ideal for someone who wants to move beyond spreadsheets and into real business impact, advisory, and coaching.

n

Location: Byron Bay or Gold Coast (Onboarding: 4 weeks in Byron Bay)

Who You Are

n

n
- You have a strong foundation in commercial, management,



or business services accounting
n
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
n
- CPA or CA qualification highly regarded
n
- 3–5 years experience in a relevant accounting role
n
- Strong understanding of P&L;, cash flow, and financial performance
n
- Confident using Xero or cloud-based accounting systems (Xero certification highly regarded)
n
- You can explain financial concepts in a simple, practical way
n
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
n
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused
n
- Interested in business advisory, coaching, and helping business owners succeed
n

What You'll Do

n

- Run 1:1 financial coaching sessions with business owners
n
- Facilitate group training sessions on financial and accounting topics
n
- Help clients understand their financial reports and key business metrics
n
- Guide clients to improve profitability, cash flow, and financial systems
n
- Review client financials and prepare insights before sessions
n
- Track progress and hold clients accountable to financial goals
n
- Communicate financial concepts in a clear, practical way
n
- Work closely with the Head Coaching team to drive client outcomes
n

Requirements

n

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
n
- CPA or CA qualification highly regarded
n
- 3–5 years experience in accounting, business services, or commercial roles
n
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting and performance metrics
n
- Experience with Xero or similar cloud accounting platforms
n
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
n
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
