We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused Debt Recovery & Client Engagement Officer to manage current and former tenant debt while delivering exceptional client service.
n
Key Responsibilities
n

- Provide explicit advice to tenants regarding account balances, payment options, and debt recovery processes.
n
- Manage rent arrears and non-rent debt through calls, emails, letters, and notices.
n
- Coordinate advanced recovery actions, including garnishments, debt collection referrals, and NCAT enforcement processes.
n
- Prepare legal documentation and support NCAT proceedings.
n
- Investigate account discrepancies, process adjustments, refunds, and write-offs.
n
- Manage end‐of‐tenancy debt processes.
n
- Liaise with legal teams, external agencies, finance, and payroll stakeholders.
n
- Monitor recovery performance and prepare reports against key performance indicators.
n
- Ensure all activities comply with legislation, privacy requirements, and workplace safety standards.
n

- Experience in debt recovery, tenancy management, finance, or customer service.
n
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem‐solving skills.
n
- Ability to manage sensitive matters with professionalism and empathy.
n
- Knowledge of debt recovery processes, legal compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
n
