Lawyer (Property, Construction, Contract and Finance)

We are a well-established construction company seeking an experienced Finance Lawyer to join our in-house legal team. This is a key advisory role supporting our executive and finance and construction teams across project financing, construction contracts and property transactions, and major capital works. You will be the go-to expert for all finance-related legal matters, ensuring our business operates with confidence and full legal compliance across every deal we close.

What you'll be doing

Finance & lending

n

n
- Review and advise on mortgage documentation and loan agreements
n
- Interpret finance facility agreements and term sheets
n
- manage end to end process from documentation to meeting CPs to financial close
n
- PEXA management for settlement
n

n

Contracts & compliance

n

n
- Draft, review,



and negotiate construction and subcontractor contracts
n
- Advise on security interests, caveats, and charges
n
- Ensure compliance with PPSR, NCC, and relevant legislation
n
- Support risk management across the project lifecycle
n

n

What we're looking for

n

n
- Admitted to practice in NSW (or nationally)
n
- Analyze and summarize construction contracts and legal documents
n
- Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend complex finance documents, mortgages, and loan structures
n
- Robust analytical and written communication skills
n

n

Highly desirable

n

n
- Contract law background
n
- Familiarity with construction finance and development funding
n
- Comfortable advising non-legal stakeholders
n
