Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Customs Broker to join a growing customs brokerage team specialising in airfreight, e-commerce and import clearance.

This role offers the opportunity to work with established freight forwarding and logistics businesses, supporting both general cargo and high-volume e-commerce imports.

n

The successful candidate will work closely with both Australian and overseas clients, therefore Mandarin language skills are essential.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare and lodge Import Declarations through EDI software
n
- Tariff classification and concession assessment
n
- Review commercial documents and shipping paperwork
n
- Liaise with freight forwarders, overseas agents and importers
n
- Process DAFF referrals and permit requirements
n
- Assist with cargo reporting and airfreight documentation where required
n
- Communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients and overseas offices
n




- Ensure compliance with Australian Customs and Biosecurity legislation
n

About You

n

Ideally you will have:

n

n
- Experience in Australian Customs Brokerage
n
- Valuable understanding of IC S, Expedient or Tradewindow
n
- Strong tariff classification skills
n
- Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements and valuation principles
n
- Experience with airfreight imports (preferred)
n
- Mandarin and English communication skills
n
- Excellent attention to detail
n
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a small team
n
