Natural Beauty Care (NBC)is one of Australia's leading contract manufacturers developing high-quality, innovative natural personal care products for some of the country's most iconic brands, including our own brand Sukin.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Electrician to join our Clayton-based manufacturing team. Working within our state-of-the-art production facility, you will play a key role in maintaining the reliability, efficiency, and performance of our automated manufacturing and packaging equipment.

n

This hands-on position offers the opportunity to apply your technical expertise in troubleshooting, fault finding, preventative maintenance, panel building, and continuous improvement initiatives, while also mentoring and supporting an electrical apprentice.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Perform electrical fault finding, troubleshooting, and repairs on manufacturing and automated packaging equipment.
n
- Diagnose and resolve issues involving PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems, with a strong focus on Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
n
- Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
n
- Build, modify, and maintain electrical control panels and associated equipment.
n
- Investigate equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
n
- Support continuous improvement projects to enhance plant performance and operational efficiency.
n
- Supervise, mentor, and develop electrical apprentices, ensuring secure work practices and quality workmanship.
n
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, site procedures, and workplace health and safety requirements.
n
- Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and improvement initiatives to foster a strong safety culture.

What You Bring

Qualifications

n

n




- Current Victorian A-Grade Electrical Licence (essential).
n
- Instrumentation, Hazardous Area, or Confined Space qualifications highly regarded.
n

n

Experience

n

n
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment (FMCG experience preferred).
n
- Proven experience fault finding and troubleshooting automated production and packaging machinery.
n
- Experience supervising, coaching, or mentoring apprentices.
n

n

Technical Skills

n

n
- Experience with Allen-Bradley and Siemens control systems.
n
- Knowledge of AC/DC drives, motors, sensors, and industrial automation equipment.
n
- Experience with panel building and control wiring.
n
- Exposure to SCADA systems and industrial automation projects.
n
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
n
- Experience or qualifications in Hazardous Areas will be highly regarded.
n
