Workforce Extensions Geelong is recruiting on behalf of one of Australia's leading food manufacturing businesses, operating one of the country's largest lamb processing facilities based in Colac.

n

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Maintenance Fitter who enjoys fault finding, preventative maintenance and working across a diverse range of production equipment in a large manufacturing environment.

n

Working Sunday to Thursday, you'll join an experienced maintenance team responsible for keeping a high-volume processing facility operating efficiently throughout the night.

About the role

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Responding to machinery breakdowns
n
- Preventative and scheduled maintenance
n




- Fault finding across production equipment
n
- Machinery setup and adjustments
n
- Fabrication and welding (Oxy, Arc & TIG)
n
- Pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance
n
- Recording maintenance activities
n
- Assisting with continuous improvement and maintenance projects
n
- Working safely within food manufacturing standards
n

n

Experience within food manufacturing or the meat processing industry will be highly regarded but is not essential.

n

About you

n

n
- Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Fitter or similar
n
- Experience maintaining manufacturing or processing equipment
n
- Strong fault-finding ability
n
- Welding and fabrication experience
n
- Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
n
- Ability to work independently on night shift
n
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
n
