Overview

We are currently recruiting for multiple Project Manager roles (Asset Construction) for our client, a Local Council based in Sydney. This is an initial contract until September 2026 with a pay rate of A$74-95 per hour + super (A$84.00 - A$106.40 per hour ABN) for 38 hours per week. Working arrangement: WFH/Flexible working to be confirmed.

Base pay range

A$75.00/hr - A$95.00/hr

Key Accountabilities

n

n
- Project Manage the initiation, design and implementation of a wide range of projects, including those projects in forward planning, to a high standard.
n
- Develop technical requirements for request for quotations or tenders (RFQ or RFT) on reviewing of specifications and drawings for inclusion with documentation.
n
- Provide technical advice on assigned projects including managing and acting as chairperson of Project control groups.
n
- Manage the construction delivery of assigned projects via external contractors and service providers.
n
- Deliver assigned projects from design completion through to construction completion and handover to Asset partner(s).

Candidate Requirements

n

n
- Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience.
n
- Previous experience of Local Government projects (client-side) is preferable but would consider candidates from State Government or private sector.
n
- Previous experience in Civil (Roads, Stormwater, etc.) is preferable; candidates with Open Space, Public Domain, Building and Landscape Capital Works projects would also be considered.
n
- Degree level qualification in Civil Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or similar.
