About The Role

n

Based at the Villawood Immigration Detention Centre you'll facilitate fitness and recreational activities that support the physical and emotional wellbeing of detainees. Working within the Programs & Activities team, you'll deliver safe, inclusive, and culturally aware programs that enhance social connection and promote healthy routines.

- Facilitate recreational and fitness-based programs aligned with the monthly P&A; schedule
n
- Promote inclusion, motivation,



and positive engagement among detainees
n
- Accurately record detainee attendance and maintain program data
n
- Provide feedback to help shape and improve program delivery
n
- Support detainees in building self-management, life skills and resilience
n
- Consider social, cultural and religious diversity in program design and delivery
n
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations within gym or recreational areas
n

To be successful in this role:

You're approachable, energetic, and passionate about sharing your skills to help others. You enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds and have a calm, professional manner in energetic environments.

- Certificate III or IV in Fitness or a related qualification (mandatory)
n
- Current Member Fitness Australia or affiliated body (mandatory)
n
- Experience working with diverse or vulnerable populations
n
- First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)
n
- Ability to pass an Australian Federal Police Check
n
