We're looking for a highly experienced Senior API Developer to join Medibank's Digital Delivery team. This is a hands-on development role, playing a key part in building high-quality, scalable APIs that power our digital services. This is an initial 6 month contract with a daily rate of $900 incl super per day.

Key responsibilities:

n

Develop robust, reusable, and supportable digital assets

n

Drive technology standards and mentor developers across squads

n

Build and maintain APIs using Spring Boot, Apache Camel, Node.js, and AWS services

n

Contribute to agile delivery processes and continuous improvement

n

What you'll bring:

n

10+ years' experience in API and integration development

n

Deep knowledge of REST, SOAP, pub-sub,



messaging patterns, and microservices

n

Proficiency with tools such as Jenkins, Maven, and JIRA

n

Strong hands on coding skills - Java 17 or later

n

Strong AWS experience (e.g. EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch)

n

Background in Agile delivery and DevOps culture

n
