Overview:
n Charlco Pty Ltd is seeking reliable and hardworking Fruit Farm Workers to support daily farming operations. This role involves performing a range of routine tasks associated with the cultivation, maintenance, and harvesting of fruit crops. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining high-quality produce and efficient farm operations while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Patrol, inspect, and report on the condition of crops to ensure optimal growth and early identification of issues
n
- Plant trees, seeds, seedlings, roots, bulbs, tubers, and vines using hand tools and farm machinery
n
- Prepare and cultivate soil, and carry out crop maintenance activities such as thinning, weeding, hoeing, pruning, and training of plants
n
- Apply pesticides and other treatments to control weeds, pests, and diseases in accordance with safety guidelines
n
- Operate and monitor irrigation systems to ensure adequate water supply for crops
n
- Install and maintain plant supports such as trellises, and protective structures including netting, greenhouses, and fencing
n
- Harvest produce including fruit,



nuts, and vegetables according to quality standards, removing damaged or overripe items
n
- Sort, grade, bunch, pack, and prepare produce for storage or transport
n
- Load harvested produce into transport vehicles safely and efficiently
n
- Maintain cleanliness and functionality of farm infrastructure, including sheds, fences, and irrigation systems
n
- Operate and maintain general farm machinery used for cultivation, fertilising, spraying, and harvesting
n
- Use data collection tools and farm technology systems to support farm operations
n

Skills and Experience:

n

n
- Previous experience in fruit farming or horticulture (preferred but not essential)
n
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor environments
n
- Basic understanding of crop care, irrigation, and pest control practices
n
- Ability to operate farm machinery and tools safely
n
- Solid attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
n
- Good teamwork and communication skills
n

This role involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions and requires physical labour, including lifting, bending, and repetitive tasks.
