Experienced Disability Support Worker - Multiple Positions 24/7

n Westpeak Support Services Pty Ltd assists individuals in maximizing their NDIS plans and connecting them to the necessary supports to achieve their goals.

n

Westpeak Support Services are currently hiring highly trained and experienced Disability Support Workers with a background and understanding in Child Development, Behaviours of Concern and Trauma-Informed Care.

n

We have multiple positions available to provide 24/7 care to a male child who requires significant support. This child requires suitable support staff to provide his personal care, community access and overnight assistance, within a house built by DFFH to a robust standard.

n

Given the nature of this role, only experienced candidates in both Disability and Child Welfare will be contacted.

n

Requirements:

n

Qualifications in Disability, or a related field, with substantial experience providing direct care to children and young people who have a Disability and/or Behaviours of Concern.

n

Have a Working with Children's Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screeners Check.

n

Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance.

n





Strong Interpersonal Skills and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

n

Qualifications and/or significant experience in Child Welfare, Disability and an understanding of Trauma Informed Care.

n

Experience working in a Supported Independent Living Environment.

n

Previous experience working within a Youth Residential Care environment.

n

The role may involve:

n

Assistance with community access and recreational activities

n

Managing Complex behaviours of concern

n

Personal care (showering, toileting, and hygiene assistance)

n

Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning

n
