Randstad is proud to be partnering with a Local Government entity to recruit a Fleet Planning Officer. Based within the Workshop Operations branch of Fleet Solutions, this role is essential for procuring equipment and managing maintenance activities for a large and diverse fleet. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a background in mechanical services or parts interpretation to support critical infrastructure services.

Your New Role

n

Based at the Wacol Service Centre, you will be the first point of contact for fleet operators and drivers, ensuring maintenance and repair workflows remain efficient.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Providing front-counter support by checking vehicles in and out for service/repairs and answering phone enquiries from drivers or operators.
n
- Using SAP to raise work orders for repairs and effectively scheduling maintenance tasks for mechanics.
n
- Interpreting, researching, and sourcing parts and equipment to meet fleet requirements while liaising with various stakeholders.
n
- Assisting leading hands with the scheduling of maintenance for tools and equipment to ensure compliance with WH&S; and legislative requirements.

- Utilising corporate systems for efficient record management and identifying trends in data for business improvement.

What You Need to Be Successful

We are seeking a proactive professional who thrives in a busy operational fleet environment.

n

The ideal candidate will possess:

n

- Prior experience as a Service Advisor, Parts Interpreter, or a background in mechanical services.
n
- Demonstrated ability in the use of SAP purchasing and efficient record management.
n
- Sound communication skills with a proven ability to provide quality customer service under competing deadlines.
n
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to source equipment through effective research and stakeholder liaison.
n

- $54.39 per hour plus super.
n
- Initial 3 month contract.

- Onsite at the Wacol industrial hub.
