MAF OCEANIA is a subsidiary of global agro-robotic specialist MAF Roda who manufactures high quality grading, sorting and packaging lines based on "state of the art" electronic and mechanical technology for the fresh produce industry.

Due to MAF OCEANIA's strategic growth plan we are looking for a Junior Automation Engineer to join our friendly collaborative team.

n

About the role

n

Working on MAF Roda projects will require knowledge in computer systems, networks, troubleshooting, installation, commissioning, configuration and optimization of automation and electro-mechanical systems.

n

As part of the automation team, the right candidate will be trained to check electrical drawings, program PLC and safety controller as well as develop HMI and SCADA.

n

Internal training will also be provided on the MAF Roda proprietary sizer and traceability software so you can assist the team during call outs and commissioning.

n

The role will require flexibility with hours as there is the need to communicate with developers in France and support customers via rostered on call support.

Skills and experience

n

Programming skills in any language. Experience with PLC (OMRON, Rockwell) is an advantage.

n

Fault finding, diagnostic, troubleshooting and decision-making skills.

n

SQL and OEE knowledge.

n

Mechanical skills will be a great advantage as this will be required on install projects to help the team.

n

Health and Safety knowledge with specific application to plant and equipment controls, safety systems and controllers.

n

Ability to work under pressure and driven to achieve deadlines with commitment and an enthusiasm for customer service, automation, mechanical and electronic equipment

Required attributes

n

Must be an Australian permanent resident

n

Willingness to travel and stay at customer sites as required

n

Solid communication skills to liaise with customers and internal stakeholders
