Maintenance Welder – Site-Based Wetherill Park

Our client is a National Leader leading manufacturer of surfactants and supplier of phosphates in the Australian market. Our comprehensive product range services the industrial, construction, mining, food and household & personal care markets.
n We're currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Welder for site-based work, with a robust background in stainless steel and mild steel welding. This role is ideal for someone confident in both fabrication and on-site installation, with a focus on pipework and structural components. If you're the right fit, there's a real opportunity for this role to become permanent.

- MONDAY TO FRIDAY WORK
n
- WETHERILL PARK LOCATION
n
- OCCASIONAL OVERTIME WHERE REQUIRED
n
- 7am – 3pm
n
- $60.30 per hour + overtime rates if required
n
- 3 month interim contract with potential permanency for the right candidate
n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel (304/316) and mild steel.
n
- Weld and patch pipework ranging from 1⁄2" to 6" in diameter.
n
- Fabricate new pipework systems, supports, and frames.
n




- Carry out on-site installation of fabricated systems.
n
- Fit and install valves, flanges, and other fittings.
n

Requirements

n

n
- Welding Tickets and or trade cert
n
- Proven experience with TIG/MIG welding in industrial or chemical plant settings.
n
- Strong knowledge of stainless (304/316) and mild steel welding techniques.
n
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
n
- Awareness of safety procedures and PPE requirements in high-risk work environments.
n
- Experience with pipe fitting and mechanical installations.
n
- Previous work in chemical, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.
n
- Forklift Licence - Highly Desirable
n
- Confined Space Certification - Highly Desirable
n
- EWP (Elevated Work Platform) - Highly Desirable
n
