Job Description
We are on the hunt for a HR, Payroll, Compliance & Return to Work Coordinator to take full responsibility for delivering efficient and compliant human resources, payroll and workplace compliance services across the group.
n
You will ensure the business meets its legislative obligations under employment, payroll, workplace health and safety and workers compensation legislation while supporting managers and employees throughout the employment lifecycle.
n
You will also act as the nominated Return to Work Coordinator, facilitating the effective management of workers compensation claims and injury management programs to achieve secure, timely and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.
n
The role works collaboratively with management to promote best practice people management, legislative compliance, employee wellbeing and continuous improvement across the organisation.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
Human Resources
n
- Coordinate end-to-end recruitment activities including advertising, screening, interview scheduling, reference checks and onboarding.
n
- Prepare employment contracts, position descriptions, variation letters and HR correspondence.
n
- Coordinate employee onboarding, induction and probation processes.
n
- Maintain confidential employee records and HR information systems.
n
- Coordinate performance review processes.
n
- Assist managers with employee relations matters including performance management, disciplinary processes and investigations.
n
- Provide advice to managers and employees regarding HR policies and procedures.
n
- Maintain organisational charts and workforce records.
n
- Ensure HR documentation remains current and compliant.
n
Payroll
n
- Coordinate the processing of payroll accurately and within legislative timeframes.
n
- Ensure payroll complies with applicable Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements and the Fair Work Act.
n
- Process new employees, terminations,
payroll variations and leave.
n
- Maintain employee leave balances.
n
- Coordinate superannuation contributions.
n
- Prepare payroll reports and reconciliations.
n
- Coordinate payroll tax and workers compensation wage declarations.
n
- Respond to payroll enquiries.
n
Compliance
n
- Ensure compliance with the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, Modern Awards and applicable legislation.
n
- Develop, review and maintain HR policies and procedures.
n
- Monitor legislative changes affecting employment and payroll.
n
- Maintain compliance registers.
n
- Coordinate mandatory training and licence renewals.
n
- Assist with internal and external audits.
n
- Ensure employment records comply with legislative requirements.
n
Return to Work & Injury Management
n
- Act as the organisation's nominated Return to Work Coordinator.
n
- Coordinate all workers compensation claims from notification through to claim closure.
n
- Liaise with workers compensation insurers, rehabilitation providers and treating practitioners.
n
- Develop, implement and monitor Return to Work Plans.
n
- Monitor medical certificates and work capacity.
n
- Ensure compliance with workers compensation legislation and insurer requirements.
n
- Coordinate case conferences where required.
n
- Identify barriers to return to work and implement strategies to facilitate safe and sustainable outcomes.
n
- Educate managers regarding injury management obligations.
n
- Monitor claim progress and recommend early intervention strategies.
n
Workplace Health & Safety
n
- Support implementation of the organisation's WHS Management System.
n
- Coordinate incident reporting and investigations.
n
- Assist with risk assessments.
n
- Maintain WHS documentation.
n
- Coordinate health and safety training records.
n
- Participate in safety meetings.
n
Administration
n
- Coordinate HR projects.
n
- Assist with workforce planning.
n
- Undertake general administrative duties as required.
