Georgiou is seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our team for an upcoming major civil project for a blue-chip mining client in Western Australia's Pilbara region.
n
Working a 2:1 FIFO roster ex Perth, you'll lead the site maintenance team responsible for keeping a substantial fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment safe, reliable and available to support project delivery.

This is a key site leadership role for an experienced maintenance professional who understands the demands of supporting high-production bulk earthworks operations and knows how to keep a heavy mobile plant fleet performing.

About the role
n
As Workshop Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day leadership and coordination of the site maintenance team, ensuring the project's fleet is maintained to high standards of safety, reliability and availability.
n
You'll oversee planned and preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs while working closely with the construction team to prioritise maintenance activities and minimise equipment downtime.
n
The role will also see you monitor maintenance performance, workshop costs and productivity while providing strong leadership and direction to the maintenance crew.

What you'll be doing
n
n
- Lead and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the site maintenance team
n
- Plan and prioritise preventative maintenance, scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs
n
- Ensure plant and equipment is maintained to required safety, reliability and availability standards
n
- Work closely with the construction and production teams to prioritise maintenance requirements and minimise equipment downtime
n
- Monitor fleet performance and identify opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency and equipment availability
n
- Manage workshop and maintenance resources effectively
n
- Monitor and control maintenance and workshop costs
n
- Review and report on maintenance performance with a focus on efficiency and productivity
n
- Provide strong leadership, direction and support to maintenance personnel
n
- Ensure maintenance activities and documentation are completed to required standards
n
- Maintain a strong focus on safety across workshop and field maintenance activities
n
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with Georgiou's safety, quality and project requirements
n
n
Your skills and experience
n
n
- Australian recognised Heavy Duty Fitter / Plant Mechanic trade qualification
n
- Demonstrated experience supervising a heavy mobile plant maintenance team
n
- Strong experience maintaining CAT or similar heavy earthmoving equipment
n
- Proven experience across equipment including scrapers, dozers, graders, wheel loaders, excavators and trucks
n
- Strong understanding of preventative maintenance, breakdown management and fleet availability
n
- Sound understanding of maintenance planning, productivity and workshop cost control
n
- Strong leadership and people management capability
n
- Ability to effectively prioritise maintenance requirements within a high-production construction environment
n
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship
n
- Previous mining, FIFO or large-scale civil construction experience will be highly regarded
n
- Construction White Card
n
- Valid C Class driver's licence, with HR licence highly regarded
n
