The Opportunity

As an Associate in our Abuse Law practice in Victoria, you'll be on the frontline as we right wrong for our clients.
n
You'll have the opportunity to be mentored by experts in the field, and work for a leader who is passionate about both supporting our clients, and developing and growing a strong, high performing team.
n
We're open to candidates based in either our Melbourne CBD or Dandenong teams. This is a permanent full-time opportunity for someone who is looking to take their career to the next level, although we are open to candidates seeking part time, as well. If you're a personal injuries solicitor keen to assist vulnerable people with achieving justice, and bring sensitivity and expertise to the table, this may be your next move.

- Provide high-quality legal advice and representation to clients seeking compensation.

- Manage a variety of abuse law matters with professionalism, empathy, and discretion.
n
- Deliver clear, tailored legal advice that aligns with each client's level of understanding.

- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with clients through regular, transparent communication and effective expectation management.
n
- Prepare and review legal documentation with precision and attention to detail.
n
- Manage your own file load efficiently, demonstrating strong organisational and commercial awareness.

- Contribute positively to the team environment and provide support to junior colleagues where appropriate.

What you'll bring.
n
To thrive in this role, you'll have:
n
n
- A Bachelor of Laws, and a current practising certificate.
n
- Post-admission experience in abuse law.
n
- A strong understanding of, and ability to, interpret relevant legislation and legal documentation.
n
- A passion for working on legally challenging and factually complex matters
n
- The maturity and confidence to deal with clients in a trauma informed way.
n
- A desire to be part of a strong, cohesive team that works together to get great results,
n
- A commitment to truly connect with those around you and work together to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
