About the role
n
Your Own Way Australia Ltd. compassionate, reliable, and trauma-informed experienced Support Coordinator / Recovery Coach to join our team across NSW.
n
Key Responsibilities
n
n
- Manage a caseload of NDIS participants, delivering high-quality Support Coordination and/or Psychosocial Recovery Coaching.
n
- Monitor participant budgets to ensure funding is used effectively and within plan limits.
n
- Coordinate, review and oversee service delivery to ensure supports meet participant goals and quality expectations.
n
- Advocate for participants and support them to exercise choice, control and access to appropriate services.
n
- Build strong relationships with participants, families, providers and key stakeholders.
n
- Assist participants to navigate the NDIS, prepare for plan reviews and maximise plan outcomes.
n
- Identify and respond to risks, safeguarding concerns and changing participant needs.
n
- Maintain accurate documentation,
case notes and reports in line with NDIS Practice Standards and organisational requirements.
n
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture focused on quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
n
- Identify, manage and elevate participant risks or concerns to senior management as required.
n
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings, supervision and professional development.
n
n
About You
n

To be successful in this role, you will have:
n
n
- Experience as an NDIS Support Coordinator, Recovery Coach or in a similar community services role.
n
- Sound knowledge of the NDIS, Psychosocial Recovery Coaching and person-centred practice.
n
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and advocacy skills.
n
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage participant budgets and competing priorities.
n
- Confidence working independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team.
n
- High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate, compliant documentation.
n
n
To be successful in this role, you will have
n
n
- Demonstrated experience in mental health, disability, Support Coordination and/or Psychosocial Recovery Coaching.
n
- Experience managing NDIS participant plans, budgets, goal setting and recovery-focused supports.
n
- Strong understanding of the NDIS, trauma-informed practice and recovery-oriented approaches.
n
- Excellent communication, advocacy,
conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and a diverse caseload.
n
- Leadership, mentoring or team coordination experience.
n
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
n
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
n
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
n
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
n
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
