Role Overview

n

Redpath is seeking an experienced Mining Superintendent to lead underground operations at the Federation Mine. This senior leadership role is responsible for overseeing production, safety, and workforce performance on a major underground development project.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide leadership and direction to underground mining teams
n
- Oversee daily operations to ensure production targets are achieved safely and efficiently
n
- Manage supervisors, operators, and contractors across multiple crews
n
- Ensure compliance with site safety systems, statutory requirements, and company standards
n
- Monitor and improve operational performance, productivity, and cost control
n
- Coordinate mine schedules in line with development and production plans
n
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions
n
- Mentor and develop supervisors and emerging leaders
n
- Liaise with client representatives and senior management
n
- Drive a strong safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives
n

Qualifications

n

n
- Extensive underground mining experience,



including development operations
n
- Previous experience in a Superintendent or senior leadership role
n
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
n
- Demonstrated experience managing safety and operational performance
n
- Sound understanding of underground mining methods, equipment, and systems
n
- Ability to interpret and implement mine plans and schedules
n
- Statutory qualifications (highly regarded depending on site requirements)
n
- Valid driver's licence
n
- Ability to work on a rotational roster (2/2 or as required)
n
