We are looking for an experienced Solar Roofer, Solar Installer or Electrical Apprentice with strong solar installation experience to join our team.

n

You will work alongside experienced electricians and installers on residential and commercial solar and battery projects.

n

The successful applicant should have around two years of hands-on solar installation experience, or equivalent practical experience, and must be capable of independently completing the roof-side component of a solar installation.

n

This includes checking the proposed panel layout, measuring and marking the roof, installing mounting systems, rails and panels, and ensuring the roof installation is completed safely, neatly and accurately.

n

Work locations vary daily and include sites across metropolitan Melbourne, with occasional travel to regional Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Checking proposed solar panel layouts against actual roof conditions
n
- Measuring and accurately marking roofs for panel installation
n
- Installing brackets, mounting systems, rails and solar panels
n
- Making practical layout adjustments where required
n
- Completing the roof-side installation independently
n
- Working safely on tiled and metal roofs
n
- Installing panels in tight or difficult roof spaces
n
- Working alongside apprentices and installation assistants
n
- Preparing and carrying installation materials
n




- Lifting and handling solar panels and battery modules
n
- Maintaining clean, safe and organised worksites
n
- Assisting with DC cabling and electrical work under appropriate supervision, where applicable
n
- Following company procedures and workplace safety requirements
n

Essential Requirements

n

n
- Around two years of hands-on solar installation experience, or equivalent practical experience
n
- Ability to independently complete the roof-side component of a solar installation
n
- Strong experience with roof measurements, panel layouts, mounting systems, rails and panel installation
n
- Confidence working safely on residential roofs and at heights
n
- Physically fit and capable of lifting solar panels and battery modules
n
- Current White Card
n
- Current Working at Heights certification
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- Own reliable vehicle to travel to different job sites
n
- Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team
n
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
n
- Full Australian working rights
n

Applicants living in Melbourne's eastern or south-eastern suburbs will be preferred.

Applicants must also hold, or be willing to obtain immediately:

- Working Safely in the Solar Industry certification
