An opportunity has arisen for an experienced legal leader to join the organisation as Head of Legal on a 6-month fixed-term basis, with potential for extension. The role can be based in either Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane.

This is a high-impact leadership role. You will act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team and Board, providing strategic legal guidance across governance, regulation, qualified standards, member conduct and organisational risk. You will play a key role in strengthening legal frameworks, supporting sound decision-making and helping shape the future direction of a respected national organisation.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead legal integrity of professional standards & member regulation;

- Oversee complaints, investigations and disciplinary processes;
n
- Work closely with CEO and Executives to drive legal strategy;
n
- Advise on complex constitutional and regulatory matters; and
n




- Ensure legal and reputational risks are effectively managed.

Experience working within a professional association, NFP, regulator, statutory authority or similarly regulated workplace will be highly regarded. Ideal with candidates will have 8+ years' PQE from a major firm and a similar senior level in-house role.
