Our client, Dhir Bricklaying Pty Ltd, is seeking an experienced and reliable Bricklayer to join their team.

n

Roles and Responsibilities:

n

n
- Interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications in line with project requirements.
n
- Complying with site safety procedures, occupational health and safety standards, and correct use of PPE.
n
- Assembling and dismantling restricted height scaffolding to safely access elevated work areas.
n
- Assessing work areas and calculating material quantities to ensure accurate application.
n
- Selecting and operating appropriate tools, equipment, and machinery for masonry tasks.
n
- Applying damp-proofing materials and preparing mortar for brickwork and blockwork.
n
- Setting out work using string lines, laser levels, dumpy levels, and plumb lines to ensure precise alignment.
n
- Laying bricks and blocks in various patterns with even mortar joints and a clean finish.
n
- Cutting, shaping, and adjusting bricks, blocks,



and stone using hand tools and power machinery.
n
- Constructing walls using stone slabs, large masonry blocks, and segmental paving systems.
n
- Inspecting completed work to confirm accuracy, alignment, and quality standards.
n
- Carrying out repair, maintenance, and restoration of brickwork, blockwork, and masonry structures.
n
- Managing construction materials and liaising with clients to provide site assessments, cost estimates, and quotations.
n

Qualifications and other requirements:

n

n
- Certificate III in Bricklaying or an equivalent qualification.
n
- At least one year of recent full-time relevant experience as a Bricklayer within the last five years.
n
- Strong knowledge of safety procedures and construction standards.
n
- Good physical fitness and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
n
- Ability to lead and work effectively as part of a team.
n
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, when required.
n
- Ability work with flexible schedule including weekends.
n
