Strathfield Private Hospital is seeking an experienced and motivated Anaesthetic Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team on a part-time basis.

n

In this role, you will provide high-quality anaesthetic nursing care across a broad range of cardiac procedures, working alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your specialist perioperative skills within a supportive and progressive clinical environment. As an integral member of the Cath Lab team, you will play a key role in ensuring protected, efficient, and patient-centred care throughout the perioperative journey.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care throughout the perioperative phase.
n
- Prepare and check anaesthetic equipment, medications and monitoring systems prior to procedures.
n
- Assist the Anaesthetist during induction, maintenance and emergence from anaesthesia.
n
- Monitor patients throughout procedures, recognising and responding promptly to any changes in clinical condition.
n
- Deliver high-quality post-anaesthetic care, including airway management, haemodynamic monitoring and pain management.
n
- Administer medications safely in accordance with hospital policies, legislative requirements and best practice guidelines.
n
- Maintain accurate, timely and comprehensive clinical documentation.
n
- Promote a safe clinical environment by adhering to infection prevention, workplace health and safety, and patient safety standards.

- Participate in effective communication, clinical handovers and multidisciplinary teamwork.
n
- Contribute to efficient patient flow within the Cardiac Cath Lab while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
n

About You

n

You Will Also Bring:

n

n
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
n
- Minimum two years' recent experience in Anaesthetic Nursing.
n
- Demonstrated experience in Nursing – Theatre & Recovery.
n
- Previous experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or perioperative environment (desirable).
n
- Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
n
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
n
- Flexibility to work within a dynamic clinical environment.
n
- Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice.

Remuneration:

n





A base hourly rate ranging from $40.24 – $56.52 + superannuation, based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties and allowances (Ramsay Health Care NSW Nurses & Midwives Enterprise Agreement – RN Years 1–8).
