Workshop Fabrication Manager –MSK Engineering

MSK Engineering is seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Fabrication Managerto join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on qualified who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to take ownership of projects from start to finish.

About the Role

n

Reporting directly to the Director, you will play a key role in overseeing the successful delivery of steel fabrication projects, particularly on all workshop jobs. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Managing full project lifecycles, from initial client consultation and quoting through to completion
n
- Preparing accurate and competitive job quotations
n
- Overseeing workshop operations and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget
n
- Leading, mentoring, and coordinating a team of fabricators and tradespeople
n
- Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency
n
- Liaising with clients & suppliers.
n
- Problem-solving and ensuring smooth execution across all stages of production
n
- This role will also require you to be hands-on
n

About You

n

n
- Proven experience in steel fabrication,



with a strong understanding of industry processes
n
- Demonstrated experience in quoting and managing jobs end-to-end
n
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a workshop or project environment
n
- Strong organisational and communication skills
n
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
n
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with attention to detail
n
- Forklift license is required
n
- CAD experience is preferred but not required.
n
