Northshore Dental and Oral Health is seeking an experienced Oral Health Therapist to join our team.

n

This is an excellent opportunity to deliver high-quality preventative and therapeutic oral health care in a supportive, patient-focused environment. Based in sunny Pacific Paradiseyou will play a vital role in our multidisciplinary dental team, working alongside dentists to enhance patient outcomes and promote oral health within our community.

What you'll be doing

n

n
- Assessing and evaluating patients' oral health status and providing tailored preventative advice and education
n
- Performing non-invasive therapeutic procedures including scaling, root planing, and polishing to maintain optimal oral hygiene
n
- Performing procedures like restorations, whitening and orthodontic reviews for our principal dentist.
n
- Providing oral health education to patients regarding hygiene practices, dietary modifications, and disease prevention strategies
n
- Maintaining detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with privacy and professional standards
n
- Collaborating with dentists and other team members to ensure comprehensive patient care and treatment planning
n
- Supporting clinical and administrative processes to ensure efficient practice operations
n

What we're looking for

n

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications, skills, and experience:

n

n
- Current registration with the Dental Board of Australia as an Oral Health Therapist
n
- Tertiary qualification in Oral Health Therapy from an accredited Australian institution
n
- Current CPR certification appropriate to healthcare settings
n
- Strong clinical skills with demonstrated competency in preventative and therapeutic oral health procedures
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a patient-centred approach to care
n




- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team-oriented multidisciplinary team
n
- Sound knowledge of oral health promotion, disease prevention, and current best practice guidelines
n
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate clinical documentation
n
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment
n
- Professional approach to confidentiality and patient privacy
n
- Preferred experience includes working in diverse patient populations, experience in paediatric oral health, and familiarity with Carestack and Sidexis.
