Join one of Australia's leading crane manufacturers and service providers, with a national footprint supporting customers across manufacturing, mining, ports, recycling, logistics and heavy industry. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of service and maintenance work, they are looking to add an additional Electrical Crane Technician to their Newcastle team.

- Permanent full-time position

- $54–$58 per hour base rate, depending on experience
n
- Company vehicle provided
n
- Standard hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
n
- Consistent OT: average 50–55 hours per week
n
- Rotating on‐call roster (1 week at a time)
n
- Autonomous field service role with robust support from an experienced team
n
- Sponsorship considered for suitable candidates with a restricted electrical licence
n

The Role

n

This is a field service position working across a variety of industrial sites throughout Newcastle and the Hunter region,



with all work allocated by the office the afternoon prior. Around 90% of your work will be local to the Newcastle/Hunter region, with occasional regional travel across Northern and Central NSW.

n

You will be responsible for servicing, fault finding, breakdown repairs and preventative maintenance on overhead cranes, gantries, hoists and associated lifting equipment.

Duties include:

n

- Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
n
- Breakdown response and emergency repairs
n
- Preventative maintenance and inspections
n
- Testing and commissioning of crane systems
n
- Working with motors, contactors, VSDs, limit switches and control systems
n
- Completing service reports and maintenance documentation
n

Requirements

n

n
- Electrical Licence or Restricted Electrical Licence
n
- Experience working on overhead cranes, hoists or lifting equipment
n
- Strong industrial fault-finding capability
n
- Experience within industrial maintenance, field service, automation, materials handling, conveyors, mining or heavy industry
