In this role, you will provide administrative and financial support within a high-volume school setting. Reporting to the Business Manager, you will assist with the delivery of financial services, including accounts payable and receivable, corporate card management, procurement, general ledger maintenance,
end-of-day reconciliation, and student finance processes.
n
You will also contribute to the provision of general administrative support to ensure the effective operation of the school.
n
You will have demonstrated experience in financial administration and the ability to work effectively in a busy environment with competing priorities. You will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
n
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
n
This role has a primary focus on delivering financial administration services while supporting the efficient operation of the school's administrative functions.
n
Responsibilities:
n
n
- Manage the school's day-to-day financial administration and accounting functions.
n
- Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoices, purchase orders and corporate card transactions.
n
- Perform bank reconciliations, Business Activity Statements (BAS) and financial reporting.
n
- Assist with budgeting, financial analysis and resource management.
n
- Maintain accurate financial records, registers and asset databases.
n
- Provide financial advice and support to staff on purchasing,
GST and financial procedures.
n
- Administer the Student Resource Scheme, payment plans and Centrepay.
n
- Coordinate stocktakes and support asset and facilities management.
n
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies, legislation and financial procedures.
n

Knowledge and Experience:

- Ability to quickly acquire knowledge and understanding of school operations, standards and work processes.
